Make Yourself A Priority

You are a Creative being. You are on your hustle and grind. You have responsibilities to handle. You have family to care for. You have friends who call on you.

With all that is going on in your life, in the world and in your own home one can easily lose sight of what is most important. Of whom is most important.

And that is you.  

You are important.

You need to make your health, your mental space and your emotional well-being a priority.  

When you neglect yourself.

When you fail to make time for yourself.

When you ignore yourself.

Things begin to unravel.

You fall apart.

And everyone and everything that you held together begins to fall apart as well.

That is why it is imperative that you always make yourself a priority.

Give yourself the grace and mercy of time for yourself.

Even if you only have 2 minutes, take the moment to inhale deeply and breathe out slowly.

Here are 4 ways to make YOU a priority:

Rest: This is so important. Sometimes, we find ourselves always on the run. We have work. Our brain is always creating a new goal. We have activities planned for almost every day of the month.  We are a constant ball of motion.

Take an hour preferably a few to read a book, watch a movie or do absolutely nothing.

Exercise: This can be a complete 30-minute workout or a walk around the block. Exercise is not only good for your health it is good for the mind. It can help clear any metal blocks you are experiencing and allow solutions to flow.

Treat Yourself: You give your time, money and energy to all those around you. Why not do something nice for yourself? Treat yourself to something that you like. Even if it is as simple as buying your favorite flavor of ice-cream.   

Say NO: And do not feel guilty about it. You can’t do everything for everyone. You can’t help everyone one and you sure can’t save everyone.
